What can I do with RCZ land?
The primary purpose of the RCZ is conservation. Agriculture is permitted subject to conditions in the schedule, and one dwelling per lot is generally allowed. However, all development must protect and enhance the natural environment and biodiversity values of the land.
Can I remove vegetation in the RCZ?
Vegetation removal is strictly controlled. A planning permit is required in most cases, and the application will be assessed against the conservation values specified in the schedule. Native vegetation removal also triggers Clause 52.17.
Can I build a house in the RCZ?
One dwelling per lot is generally a Section 1 use, subject to conditions in the schedule (such as minimum lot size). A permit may be required for buildings and works, and the dwelling must not compromise the conservation values of the land.
